Dopo la cancelliera Merkel anche il premier italiano Giuseppe Conte ha espresso il su dolore per la strage in Valle Aurina: "Il mio cordoglio va a loro e al popolo tedesco scosso in questi giorni di festa da questa drammatica notizia. Un pensiero ai numerosi feriti, ai quali faccio l’augurio di poter tornare presto ad abbracciare i propri cari".

"La tragedia avvenuta la notte scorsa in Alto Adige - ha scritto ieri sera su Twitter Conte - è sconvolgente e colpisce profondamente. Esprimo la più sincera e commossa vicinanza alle famiglie dei giovani turisti tedeschi le cui vite sono state spezzate mentre erano in vacanza in Italia".
